  5. but former First Daughter Patti Davis isn't afraid to tackle them
  6. -- fictitiously. She even "played around," says Patti, "with ways
  7. I could sneak into Nicaragua" for research. But "it would have been
  8. naive, because it was known that I disagreed with my father's
  9. policy." Instead, Davis stayed home in California to write her new
  10. novel, Deadfall. And what do Ronald and Nancy Reagan think of a
  11. book that's hard on the U.S. Government? Davis isn't sure they've
  12. read it, and doubts that they'll be sending copies as Christmas
  13. presents.
